Train the Evaluator - Dade City, FL (2/28/19)

Train the Evaluator is tailored to meet the needs of the operators of natural gas pipelines who must comply with the federally mandated operator qualifications program. This course provides information on the theory of evaluation, but its strength is in providing useful information with extensive discussion, and hands-on practice for conducting credible performance evaluations. The training session covers:

  • An overview of the OQ Rule, including relevant standards to include 49 CFR 192, 195, API 1161 and ASME B31Q
  • A discussion of current OQ hot topics
  • A review of the characteristics and skills needed to be an effective evaluator
  • A review of the evaluation process
  • Tips for evaluator response to evaluatee questions
  • Tips for handling problem situations
  • Evaluation exercises
  • MEA OQ Program Connect Guidelines

 

Individuals interested in attending the class must submit the required documentation to MEA (see link for Evaluator Application in your confirmation email).

Cancellation policy:
There will be a $35 administration fee for cancellations made 5 days prior to the event. No refunds will be issued after this date. Substitutions may be made at any time.

Postponement policy:
MEA reserves the right to postpone any training class if a minimum number of attendees have not signed up 14 days prior to the class start date. MEA will notify anyone who has signed up and provide them with a 100% refund or a new training date.
